sales procedures
1. cif vs bl without contract
step a: the client sends a letter of intent (loi).
step b: negotiation of payment terms between the seller and the client.
step c: once the vessel is shipped, the seller sends the documents (bl and others) by email.
step d: after verification, the client makes payment as per agreed terms.
2. cif with contract
step a: customer sends loi.
step b: seller verifies via coface (credit insurance).
step c: adjustment of volume or payment terms based on coface report.
step d: preparation and dispatch of goods within 7 10 days.

bill of lading (bl)
commercial invoice
sgs certificate of quality and quantity at the port of loading
sanitary and phytosanitary certificate
certificate of origin
packing list
accepted payment methods
letter of credit (lc) – confirmed, irrevocable.
avalised draft – backed by a financial institution.
payment against documents (cad):
by email (documents sent directly).
by dhl or bank to bank remittance.
deferred payment on bl: within 30, 45, 60 or 90 days depending on coface authorization.
advance payment: with deposit if insufficient solvency.
cash payment: made in our offices (non bank option).
delivery details
incoterm: cif (cost, insurance, freight)
estimated transit time: 2 to 5 days for libreville.
insurance: 110% of the invoice value covered by the seller.
