sending of procedure and verbiage by the seller:
3. the seller sends the procedure and verbiage to the buyer.
4. the buyer needs to confirm its ability to open the sblc with the verbiage before
sending the spa to the corresponding bank.
issuance of full corporate offer (fco) by the seller:
5. following buyer s acceptance, the seller issues a full corporate offer (fco).
signing and sealing of fco by the buyer:
6. the buyer signs and seals the fco and returns it to the seller.
sending of sales and purchase agreement (spa) and proforma invoice (pi) by the seller:
7. within 5 working days after the signing of the fco, the seller sends a sales and
purchase agreement (spa) along with a proforma invoice (pi) to the buyer.
issuance of standby letter of credit (sblc) by the buyer:
8. within 10 working days from the date of signing the spa and receiving the pi, the
buyer issues an operative standby letter of credit (sblc) to the seller s nominated
bank account.
commencement of initial shipment:
9. the initial shipment starts within 20 days from the date on which the sblc is confirmed
by the seller s bank.
sgs inspection:
10. sgs attends on site for an inspection of the shipment, evaluates the loading and relevant
documents, and sends the certified inspection report to the seller and the seller s bank.
payment:
11. upon receipt of the sgs test report and all documents by the buyer s bank, payment is
made via swift mt103 within 5 working days from verification and confirmation by
the buyer s bank.
this procedure must be diligently followed by the parties involved to ensure the smooth
execution of the transaction. any delays or failure to adhere to the steps may result in
complications in completing the sale.
