standard procedures for title takeover (tto)
1. buyer issues icpo
including full banking coordinates and company registration certificate.
2. seller issues mou
buyer signs and returns within 24 hours, accompanied by a letter of guarantee to fulfill contractual terms.
3. seller provides documents (issued in the name of the initial buyer):
product passport (quantity & quality certificate)
certificate of origin
bill of lading
vessel q88
nor (notice of readiness)
eta of vessel
ullage report
cargo manifest
invoice for title transfer
4. buyer verifies and deposits 3% within 4 banking days, the buyer makes a 3% deposit via swift mt103 t/t as the title takeover fee. this secures ownership and allows for vessel rerouting to buyer’s preferred port. this fee is deducted from the final payment.
5. vessel rerouting & title transfer
upon confirmation of the 3% payment, seller orders rerouting of the vessel, transfers title, and reissues all documentation in the buyer's name, along with full proof of product.
final inspection & payment
6. upon vessel arrival, buyer conducts ciq/sgs inspection. after successful results, buyer pays the remaining 97% (minus 3% already paid) via mt103 t/t.
